Adult Reunion at Samish Island June 11-17
"For the past 11 years an Adult Reunion has been held at Samish Island Campground to provide opportunity for interested adults of any age to assemble and worship, pray, fellowship and study together in a very peaceful atmosphere. We will continue this year to focus our ministry on the last few inspired messages to the Community of Christ seeking greater understanding.
Approximately 50 people from GPNW, Inland West, Canada West and some other distant Mission Centers attend each year. Guest ministers from our International Community of Christ come and provide ministry. We have outstanding spiritual experiences and rich fellowship. Our schedule is relatively relaxed to provide opportunity for much visiting and sharing together; and by the way the food is very good. Our guest minister for 2011 is Apostle Scott Murphy
This reunion does not take the place of our "Family" reunions where we meet together with family members of all ages. We encourage the Adult Reunion attendees to go to their "Family' reunions to share in them. Come and share; you will not be disappointed!"

Arts on the Lake at Hills of Peace
Our first annual Arts on the Lake retreat was a huge success! Joey Williams from Independence MO led the choir, taught rhythms with plastic cups and showed us that a chocolate bar was so much more than a bar, it’s an actual buffet!
Courtenay Bell and
Andrew MacArthur
practicing their cartoon voices
The Band consisting of 5 guitar players a bassist, sax and singer, rocked out a Green Day tune for our Talent Showcase and we were treated to lots of other talented performances too. For those seeking a calming retreat there were Yoga, Reiki and Meditation Bracelet classes.
The auction was perhaps the craziest of the events … a limited edition Arts on the Lake pen went for $16, a pair of limited edition Arts on the Lake T-shirts went for $102 and a chocolate platter of goodies went to Mike Mitchell of Prince Albert for $160…we’re hoping he saw the chocolates before everyone ate them. (Don’t worry Mike, we’ll take care of you)
Everyone agreed that the classes were fabulous and fulfilling and that we all wished there was time for more of everything.
See you next year!

Prayer Warriors
Let us join in prayer for all those who are bullied for whatever reason - being the wrong color, size, gender, -that God's Spirit would enlighten all with knowledge of true human worth and value and that those surrounding them, especially those in authority would protect all aspects of the "bullying situation", including the bully who often has "unmet needs" which drives the desire to bully another. Teachers, Police officers, Hospital workers, Employers, older kids, Parents, Neighbors ---- all who may have ability to change a potentially unkind or violent situation into a more peaceful one---dear God, give them the nudge needed to do so.
Let us each be open every day to 'the nudge'!
