Hills of Peace Camp Opening!
May 10-12
Hills of Peace Camp Opening Weekend is NEXT weekend, May 10 to 12. Everyone is invited to attend and help get the camp ready for our camps and retreats. Anyone can help with the work that needs attention.
Here is an idea of what needs to be done: cleaning all cabins and dorms; cleaning the dining hall, large chapel, and small chapel; cleaning of the washroom buildings. “Cleaning” includes: sweeping (or vacuuming) floors, wiping all surfaces, including windows, and replacing or replenishing supplies.
The playground area will need to be cleaned and raked as will the beach and campfire area. The tent near the dining hall needs to be set up, the dock needs to be put into the water, and the sound system needs to be set up in the large chapel.
There may be some brush to clean up and dead trees to take out. All brooms, tools, and supplies will be available at the camp. If you have a re-chargeable “week-whacker” or a chainsaw (AND know how to safely operate them!) please bring them along.

Canada West Mission is proud to announce the launch of its new online event registration system, REGGIE! This new system is a custom-built solution based on your feedback from previous registration processes. Reggie represents over a year of hard work as we tirelessly built a new platform to meet the unique needs of Canada West members and friends.

Friends and Family Connection Weekend
May 31-June 2 at Samish Island
Registration Deadline is May 21st!
The Friends and Family Connection Weekend is an opportunity to spend quality time with family, old friends, and make new friends. We want to bring PLAY back into your life. When we laugh and play together, something wonderful happens, we relax, we sleep better, and our lives become richer.
When you escape to Samish Island Retreat Center you can exhale and say AHHHH. We'll have opportunities for mindful, meaningful and spiritual conversations, for games and trivia, swimming and canoeing, for singing and sports, and full belly laughs.
This event is subsidized by the Canada West Mission Centre as the cost per adult is $100, youth $75, and under 5 years is $25. The registration fee is $50 for adults, $25 for youth and children. Registration fees are not issued tax receipts. Donations received separately from contributors will be given a tax receipt. Your generous donations help us continue to provide high quality events for our friends and families.

10:00 Tae Kwon Do board breaking/lesson with Georgia, or poetry writing nature walk
11:00 Drawing Nature or Building Fairy Houses
12:30 Picnic Lunch at the Lake. Games, Water sports, Swimming, Canoeing and more.
3:00 Pack up and shower
4:00 Music jam and sing-along
5:30 Dinner
7:00 Sunset Campfire with songs, skits, stories and toasted marshmallows
8:00 Karaoke with Josh
9:00 Board games and visiting, Coffee and Meaningful Conversation, Music Jam
