Community of Christ Canada is proud to announce the launch of its new website.

Visitors will enjoy a more modern experience, including mobile-friendly functionality. A special effort has been made to simplify the website, ensuring that users can locate information quickly and efficiently. In addition, content has been added to accommodate seekers from various backgrounds.

Canadian church leadership and membership are indebted to the efforts of Lew Shepherdson, whose hard work made this new website a reality. A great deal of time and talent were required to build this new expression of Christ’s mission, and the Church certainly appreciates his volunteerism and dedication.

New Registration system for all Mission Centre activities

We are in the process of converting to a new online registration system! The current system is no longer available. Please hold off submitting online registrations for summer camps and retreats until you see the specific camping and retreat events being advertised. Our new system will enable you to enter basic information once, and with a simple click (or two) register for your event.

Explore People, Places, Practices & Philosophies

Learn through insightful classes and experiential visits where you will see ritual, explore architecture, meet leaders, and engage with communities.

Samish Island Arts Retreat 

Come and explore your own creativity with a supportive community.

Our basic theme for the weekend is YES! and…  The idea being that the best way to respond to creative new ideas is to support them and look for ways to help them flourish.

Bring the creative things you are working on or are excited by.  Bring instruments, art supplies, scripts, poems, writing paper and pens, flowers, crayons, and whatever else you might want to use to explore aspects of your own creativity.  Come prepared to share your art, creative passions, techniques, and practices.  If you are a visual artist, please bring some of your work to share with others.  if you are a musician, bring songs to teach or share.  There will be multiple opportunities for Creative Show and Tell.

Throughout the weekend, there will be some discussion about the future of the Arts Retreat.  Come with your greatest ideas of what a weekend of arts exploration can look like, and be prepared to respond to other ideas with a resounding YES!… And.

The schedule for the weekend is evolving rapidly.  When there is something a little more concrete, we will send it out to anyone interested.
