Chilliwack Craft Making Day
Melting records in bowl shapes and decorating them
We started at 10:00 and most arrived about that time. The scrapbook class was at 10:30 and three people took the class. Then everyone worked on scrapbooks except for two stopping to do the project class. Supper was provided at 6:00 and everyone enjoyed a good hot meal. Then the card making class was at 7:00. Everyone was feeling tired so we locked the church doors at 8:30 and everyone went home.
It was a successful event and everyone wants to have two next year with some suggested changes so we look forward to two events next year.

World Accord just made it cheaper and easier to participate in a construction trip. First, they've reduced the cost by using other funds to cover the cost of building materials and second, you now have a choice between a one week and a two week excursion for those who could never get away for two weeks.

Baptism in Regina
On Sunday, November 8, the Regina branch was privileged to witness Hayden Woynarski’s decision to become a member of the Community of Christ. Hayden’s dad, Dan, brought us the morning message, reaffirming the power of relationships between Hayden and his family, his congregation and God. We had planned ahead to fill the fount, but didn’t realize until Sunday morning that the water heater wasn’t working so the branch was given a chance to share by carrying a steady stream of pots filled with hot water and dumping them into the fount. It certainly wasn’t the warmest water, but Hayden’s mom, Sharman was going to baptize him and if it was warm enough for her, it would be ok for him. As is our custom the congregation gathered by the baptismal fount as Sharman lowered him into water (there was no concern that his dyed hair would color the water). Later in the service Hayden was confirmed into the Community of Christ by his dad who was assisted by Dan Esch. We’ll be having a potluck on December 6 to celebrate Hayden’s first communion and are very thankful that Hayden has chosen to make this covenant. Congratulations Hayden !
