World Accord just made it cheaper and easier to participate in a construction trip. First, they've reduced the cost by using other funds to cover the cost of building materials and second, you now have a choice between a one week and a two week excursion for those who could never get away for two weeks.

Community of Christ lessons are available for children (ages 6–11), youth (ages 12–18), and adults. Weekly lessons connect the lectionary text with Community of Christ identity, mission, message, and beliefs.  Lessons are free, donations are graciously accepted.

Laurie Gordon is a spiritual director and an Evangelist in Community of Christ, living in Bend, Oregon. Laurie’s lifelong passion for contemplative practice and the natural world has deepened her sense that the universe reverberates with Holy Mystery. When we turn to stillness, listen deeply and awaken to an awareness of God’s Presence in and through all things, we touch this Mystery. We open to God’s invitation to be transformed; to embody Christ’s wisdom and compassion; to become vehicles of loving, Spirit-infused action in the world.

Encounter World Religions

Houses of Worship Tour

Greater Vancouver March 18-20, 2016

 

At each location, a representative of that faith tradition will take us on a guided tour. There will be an opportunity to talk with the guides – both to ask your questions and to hear their stories. In some cases, there will also be an opportunity to share food and to observe ritual. You will see whole new communities and their traditions in a way that brings them to life.
