Canada West Mission Announcements for August 18th

Canada West Mission Conference in Calgary is coming up fast….September 3-5!

Did you know:

-if you’re not a delegate that you should register soon to

-there’s a youth retreat being held in Calgary that same weekend for 14-18year olds.   Register with

Mission Conference Youth Retreat!     Kimtah 7    clip_image001[5]

There will be a retreat for youth aged 14-18 running concurrently with Mission Conference again this year. Registration will be $50. Please notify Dan Woynarski at if your youth would like to attend. They will need to bring sleeping bags, pillows and inflatable mattresses and enough money for one lunch on Saturday.

hikers Registered Youth Workers over the age of 21 and willing to “rough it” for the weekend are needed as chaperones for the youth retreat running concurrently with mission conference in Calgary. If you are wondering if you are too old to rough it, you probably are. You will need sleeping bags, warm clothing and an inflatable mattress.

If you are interested in volunteering as staff for any of the camps at HOP or Samish Island please forward your name to Dan Woynarski at or call (306) 352-1570. Please state if you are interested in directing, counseling, teaching, acting as first aid provider, camp pastor, camp grandma or grandpa (everyone needs one of those.) Standing teams of the World Conference and First Presidency appointed teams are in process of being chartered for the 2010-2013 inter-Conference period. We are interested in drawing broad participation from throughout the church.

If you or someone you know has interest and expertise in an area listed below and would be interested in serving on a team, please fill out the nomination form at and return it to Andrew Shields, World Church secretary, at or fax 816-521-3096. Recommendations need to be submitted by September 10.

The media is really starting to get the message out regarding the horrible flooding in Pakistan.  I have received a request from one of our partners in Pakistan that we have worked with for many years.  I have attached the document for your viewing.  It is just awful over there and the suffering is increasing.  If people ask where they should send there donations, I just want  you to know that World Accord will be sending donations to INSAN.  Thanks and bless you all.
