World Conference April 13-18

Have you considered attending World Conference this year? Follow the link to get all the details. Early Registration deadline is February 15th. We have one delegate spot open for the CWM and 34 alternates, but of course anyone can attend. Last year Linda Phelps’ activity was the ‘Signal Communities’ Art Project pictured below.

Tiles were painted by individuals, then Linda assembled them in the frame to make us all look like artists. This was presented to the Regina church. Visit Regina to see it in person!

Theology Jam in Vancouver!

Here's what to expect!

On Friday night, we will start at 7:00 with a screening of one of Don's favourite movies (no zombies!) as a starting point for our exploration of community.

On Saturday we'll meet at 9:00 am to look at the idea of community in society. What do we want? What are we yearning for? After a lunch break, we will pick up our discussion at 2:00 to explore the challenge of finding meaningful spiritual connections in religion and culture. We'll have a hearty dinner of homemade soups and stews together at 5:00, then continue at 7:00 by having some fun sharing culture bits that speak to us. These sessions will each end with music making, visiting and play.

On Sunday morning, we'll meet at 9:30 to specifically examine where we go as people of faith and then we'll share in worship together at 10:45 that is seasoned with inspiration from the weekend and led by Don's preaching.
